Friday was Ogden day. I convinced my dear Mother to spend her day off to help me re-do my booth at the Ogden Quilted Bear. It took about three hours so she had to entertain the kids at the mall while I worked as fast as my fingers would let me. Luckily the mall has a kid’s playground so they could run around. Also the booth next to mine sells books so she sat and read them several stories. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture so you’ll just have to imagine a rainbow of hair accessories neatly organized according to color. I like organized things.
Saturday was Midvale day. First I woke up and made German pancakes. It was Dan’s birthday on Sunday so I made his favorite breakfast on Saturday complete with THE MOST DELICIOUS SYRUP EVER! I did somehow think to take a picture of this glorious concoction and am even sharing the recipe. I really can’t take credit though. This is a McClure family recipe.

Famous Butter Syrup: Deanna McClure
1. melt one cube butter
2. add 1/2 cup buttermilk (I use powdered buttermilk or add 1/2 tsp lemon juice to reg milk when I don’t have buttermilk)
3. add 1 cup sugar, and cook until dissolved
4. add 1/2 tsp coconut extract
5. add 1/2 tsp of baking soda (this will foam up – do not stir)
6. put on your jogging shoes and enjoy!
After that I loaded up the supplies and made the trek down to Midvale to repaint my booth. It was quite a day but I think the finished product turned out well My little brother Caleb completely saved my bacon by showing up to help. I kept saying, “Thanks so much Caleb, I don’t know how I would have done this without you!” He just said, “That’s what family is for.” (I took a finished product pic with my phone but I’m too technologically challenged to figure out how to load it onto my computer. Maybe when Cade gets home from kindergarten he can show me how.
